These Sunday evening portrait sessions are perfect for teen ballerinas who are exceptionally passionate dancers! Expressive, dreamy golden-light filled portraits at an iconic Santa Barbara location of your choice with YOUR dancer as the focus. 

As a lover of light and movement, my soft focus photography style is ideal for naturally capturing your daughter's essence and her love for dance. These are fine art portrait sessions that help you remember this incredible season of your bright and beautiful teen dancer's life. Celebrate your passion and the hard work you’ve put into learning the art of dance with a ballet portrait session!

ballet portraits include:

  • A 30 minute planning call
  • A 45 min - 60 min portrait photography session
  • A professional ballerina available as a ballet posing coach on site during the session
  • 30 edited images (edited with Lightroom, does not include photoshop alterations)
  • A private online gallery
  • A luxury heirloom album with your favorite 30 images

Only one session booked per evening. Since the time of sunset changes often, please check my booking calendar to see what times are offered on the dates you prefer.

What your dancer can expect

step 01: book your spot

Book your session here. We'll then schedule a short planning call to discuss your ideas and vision for your photo session. From there we can discuss your outfits, anything else you’d like to incorporate into your photo session, and simple recommendations on how to prepare.

step 02: enjoy the session

Yay! You have arrived and you’re all ready! Time to take a deep breath and enjoy sharing your love of dance in a gorgeous location with gorgeous light. You can be as creative or as simple as you like! I'll be there to capture the passion, dedication, and elegance that dance carries with it!

step 03: choose your photos

Later that same evening, you will receive a gallery of your best unedited images. Select up to 30 images for me to edit by clicking the heart on your favorite 30 images in your online gallery. Within two weeks, you'll have your edited gallery to share, download images, and order prints or albums!

Remember her elegance and passion for dance for years to come through fine art portraits!

What's your photography style?

I offer outdoor, natural-light portraits focused on encouraging women of all ages.  I have a relaxed and uplifting approach.  Rather than micro managing every detail, there is a fluidity in my lifestyle approach that let's the inspiration flow organically, like photojournalism.

Will you help me pose?

While I do offer some posing direction and ideas, my main priority is to capture your natural essence and your love of dance.  My love of golden light and movement oftentimes shines through in my work.  I whole-heartedly embrace artistic blurs and sun flare and the in-between moments!

Can you help me decide what to wear?

Absolutely! I'm happy to help you plan what to wear.  We'll schedule a time to talk about your vision/ideas and what would work best for your photo session. 

what do you do if the weather isn't nice?

I will check in with you a few days before your photo session.  If the weather is not cooperating, we can just reschedule for another day, no problem!

What happens if we go over the specified time?

If we find that we want to shoot for a few more minutes or had to take breaks, I am happy to extend the time of the shoot without charging an additional fee.

What if I need to cancel my Session?

Unfortunately, I'm not offering refunds for session cancellations but I'm happy to reschedule your session for another day if that's helpful.
